Helping Students Explore Vet Careers
Our team at Zeeland Veterinary Service recently welcomed a class of fourth graders who were learning about animals in their science unit for a visit to the clinic.
"This was a great team-building exercise and a fun event for our team," said hospital manager Joan Kutchin. "(Our vets) really enjoyed spending time with the students talking about what they do day to day and why they chose their profession."
One of the clinic's veterinary technicians also visited a local high school's job fair to talk to students interested in pursuing careers in veterinary medicine.
"This is a great way to get our name out in the community as well as interest kids in our profession," explained Joan.
